People Don’t Come to See Me Because They’re Broken
If you ask me what I do, I'll probably tell you I'm a hypnotherapist. But that's not really the whole story.
More Than a Job Title
People don't come to see me because they're broken. They come because they've spent years second-guessing themselves. They've become disconnected from their own voice — learning to trust fear, guilt, shame, or everyone else's opinions more than their own inner knowing.
Sometimes it looks like anxiety. Sometimes it's people-pleasing. Sometimes it's a habit they can't seem to break. Sometimes it's a life transition that has left them wondering who they are anymore.
Patterns, Not Problems
Whatever brings them through my door, I don't see a person who needs fixing. I see someone whose brain has become incredibly good at repeating patterns that once made sense.
And that's important — because if something was learned, it can be updated. That's where hypnotherapy comes in.
Not as magic.
Not as mind control.
Not as someone "doing something" to you.
But as a conversation with the part of your mind that's been trying to protect you all along.
Together, we get curious. We explore where the pattern came from — not to relive the past, but to understand the prediction your brain has been making. Then we begin teaching it something new: a new way to respond, a new way to feel safe, a new relationship with yourself.
The Real Work
Because here's what I've learned after years of doing this work:
The habit usually isn't the problem. The anxiety isn't the problem. Even the self-doubt isn't the problem.
They're often the strategies your brain developed in an effort to protect you. When we update the relationship underneath those strategies, everything built on top of it begins to change.
Coming Home to Yourself
That's why my work isn't about creating a new version of you. It's about helping you come home to the version of you that was there before fear became louder than trust.
The version of you that knows how to make decisions without overthinking. That can set boundaries without guilt. That doesn't need to earn rest. That doesn't need to prove their worth.
Because self-trust changes everything.
Not overnight. Not by force.
But one new experience, one new prediction, and one new choice at a time.
That's the work I love. And it's why I believe people don't need fixing.
They need a safe place to remember they were never broken in the first place.
